Are you eligible for an alumni discount?

In order to qualify for an alumni discount, you AND the course you wish to take must be eligible. The alumni discount excludes courses leading to PGCE or Dip Arch qualifications and does not apply to courses of four year full-time study leading to MEng, MPharm or similar qualifications.

If you AND your course ARE BOTH eligible you can claim 20% off your tuition fees.

Are you eligible?

To qualify, you must:

  • Follow an eligible full time or part time postgraduate taught course
  • Have previously gained a Bachelors degree or LLB at the University of Portsmouth (this excludes Foundation degrees and HNDs) and have NOT previously gained a Postgraduate taught course at the University of Portsmouth.
  • Pay your own tuition fees (Sponsors are not eligible for alumni discount. If you are part sponsored, the discount will be applied to the self-paying part only)

OR

  • Follow an eligible full time or part time research course
  • Have previously gained a Bachelors degree or LLB and/or a postgraduate taught qualification at the University of Portsmouth and have NOT previously gained a Postgraduate research course at the University of Portsmouth.
  • Pay your own tuition fees (Sponsors are not eligible for alumni discount. If you are part sponsored, the discount will be applied to the self-paying part only)

What does this mean?

If it says your course is 'ELIGIBLE'
If your course is eligible for an alumni discount you should deduct 20% before paying.If you pay your fees in full before or at Registration you will also be eligible for a 2% prompt payment discount after the alumni discount has been removed. Please refer to our tuition fee page for details.

If it says your course is 'NOT ELIGIBLE'
If your course is not eligible for an alumni discount, you will not be able to claim the 20% discount.
